Market Indices
Market Indices contain a list of major market index prices: last, change, percent
change, year-to-date percent change, year high and year low prices.
Subset of Market Indices are the Dow Industrial Average,
Nasdaq 100, S&P 100, S&P 400, S&P 500, Dow Utilities,
Dow Transporation, and Dow Composite.
The Market Indices pages list the latest index price, the nearest futures price when available
and all stock component prices, along with the year to date percent change, yearly high
and yearly low prices.
The Market Indices pages also offer a quick link to the Sectors, which
offer a more detailed view of the components contained within.
ETF - Exchange Funds (Exchange Traded Funds)
Each ETF - Exchange Traded Fund is a group of securities that is designed / created to track an index
(broad stock, bond market, stock industry sector, or international stock).
Each ETF - Exchange Traded Fund trades like a single stock.
Each ETF - Exchange Traded Funds page contains a list of prices including: last, change, percent change,
year-to-date percent change, year high and year low price.
Subset of ETF's are ETF Industry Sector, ETF Broad Based, and ETF International.
The ETF's pages also offer a quick link to the Sectors, which
offer a more detailed view of the components contained within.
Market Momentum
Market momentum is an overview of the stock market. Market momentum lists selected major market indices and market
rates as well as a market momentum summary box.
The NYSE, Nasdaq, AMEX and OTCBB advances/declines and shares traded include all active stocks for that day.
The new highs and new lows total requires current daily volume greater than 10,000 shares
and last price greater than $2, or last price multiplied by volume greater than 10,000
for OTCBB stocks, and last price greater than $.25. Additionally, stocks must have traded for at least six months.
The market momentum box only takes into account those stocks trading that day, with a last
price above $2 and stocks traded on the NYSE, Nasdaq or AMEX. This also includes the advances,
unchanged and declines inside the market momentum box. Additionally, stocks must have traded for at least six months.
The momentum summary box contains a table of the number of stocks whose price has increased
and decreased and the percentage of stocks above their 20-, 50-, 100-, 150- and 200-day moving
average today, yesterday, last week and last month.
Momentum also lists the number of NYSE, Nasdaq and AMEX stocks that have advanced and declined
for the day with the volume of shares traded, as well as the number of new 52-week high and
low stocks for each of the exchanges.
Price Volume Leaders
Price Volume Leaders lists stocks in order of price volume ratio.
Price volume is simply the price multiplied by the volume; the numbers are
listed in thousands.
Other information available on the page includes the last price of the
stock, daily volume, price change and the daily percent change.
Price Advances / Price Declines
Price Advances and Price Declines lists stocks in order or price increase
or price decrease for the day. Other information is the last price of the
stock, daily volume, daily percent change and the 14-day relative strength.
Price Advances / Declines can also be classified by exchange, closing
price or by daily volume.
Percent Advances / Percent Declines
Percent Advances and Percent Declines lists stocks in order or daily
percent increase or percent decrease for the day. Other information is the
last price of the stock, daily volume, daily price change and the 14-day
relative strength.

52 Week Highs / 52 Week Lows
52-Week Highs and 52-Week Lows contain the stocks that have made a new
52-week high or 52-week low price today. As well as the new high or low price
we also list the daily volume and the current 14-day relative strength.

close, change, volume and previous settle price. It is viewable in an

the item. The "c" next to the last indicates a closing price.

Portfolio
Portfolio Manager will hold your portfolio of stocks. Enter in the symbol,
together with the price, the buy or sell action, the quantity purchased and
portfolio manager will calculate using the latest prices your overall profit or loss.

Quotes
Quotes lists the last 5 days of trading activity, the open, high, low, close,
change and volume figures. Earnings information is also displayed as well as a listing
of the weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly high and low prices and the date of the
respective trades.
Charts
Charts are available on every symbol in the Barchart.com database.
The default dynamic daily chart contains six months worth of price activity with the open,
high, low, close, change and volume numbers for each bar presented in a display box above
the chart. Each data point can be viewed by moving your mouse through the chart. This is
also true for all information displayed on the chart.
Splits are represented by the blue triangles on the bottom of the chart.
Earnings are represented by the green triangles on the bottom of the chart.
Dividends are represented by the purple triangles on the bottom of the chart.
Opinions
Opinions are a technical trading tool which will analyze a stock or commodity using
thirteen popular analytics in short, medium and long term periods. Results are interpreted
as buy, sell or hold signals, each with numeric ratings, and summarized
with an overall percentage buy or sell rating.
